THE 2021 NATIONAL DERBY COMPETITION IS NOW OPEN!
It’s that time again! The 2021 National StocKar Derby Design Competition! Get your StocKar kit, design your StocKar, take some pictures, and then enter it into the competition!
Competition rules:
Eligibility: Design contest open to everyone of all ages all across the world who use an official StocKar Derby kit.
Entry Fee: There is NO Design Competition entry fee this year.
2021 NATIONAL DERBY DESIGN COMPETITION RULES:
1. Cars entered in the competition must be constructed using offcial StocKar brand kits. (Available from
our online shop: store.csbministries.org/stockar-derby/
2. Cars may be constructed just for the Design Competition and not necessarily race in a local Derby, but
must adhere to the rules for entering a local Derby:
a. 5 oz maximum weight.
b. 7” maximum length.
c. 2 ¾” maximum width (measured from outside wheel pins.)
d. Car height must not exceed standard derby finish timer height.
3. Registration for the Design Competition is online, and open until April 30, 2020.
a. Participants MUST complete all required fields in registration form.
b. Upload photo(s) of your car – maximum of three photos.
4. Judging will be based on photos only – no need to mail in your car.
a. Submit maximum of three photos of your car, each from different angles (front, side, rear).
b. The name of the images should be your CAR name and a number. (For example:
FlameThrower1.jpg, Lightning2.jpg)
c. Acceptable image format is .JPEG/JPG. (No Photoshopped images!)
d. Submit high-resolution photos. (If using your phone to take image, when preparing to upload,
select option ‘Actual Size’ for best resolution when uploading.
e. Send us some photos of fathers and sons, grandpas/uncles making the cars together as well!
f. By submitting photos you grant StocKar and Christian Service Brigade permission to use for
promotional purposes.
5. Competition will be divided into three age groups:
a. Ages up to 11 (Tree Climbers/Stockade in CSB)
b. Ages 12 to 18 (Battalion in CSB)
c. Ages 19 and up (Leaders/Open)
6. When registering your car – declare which Design Category you would like to enter.
2021 NATIONAL DERBY DESIGN COMPETITION CATEGORIES:
Best Automotive Design: Best realistic representation of an actual car with attention to detail and shape.
Original Design: Best design using a NON-CAR design. For example: Coke can, Ice Cream sandwich,
sail boat, etc.
AWARDS:
1st (TBA) and 2nd Place (TBA)
Awards will be given for the top two cars in each category for each Age Group. Winners will be notified by
phone and by mail. Make sure we have your complete contact info!
